- The Office Engineer (OE) provides basic contract administration support at construction field office. He assists in the coordination of construction contracts, prepares construction contract correspondence for review, assists in performing drawing control functions, assist with the coordination of the RFI process and correspondence flow for change orders and modifications, assist with the evaluation of contractor progress, preparation and distribution of reports, distribution of submittals, inspector reports, and contractor reports. Also maintains current records of contractor payments, contract drawings and other documents as required. Works as liaison with field inspection team, implements and follows Quality Management System procedures along with safety procedures.
- The Affirmative Action (AA) Officer prepares and oversees monthly employment utilization reports, M/WBE subcontractor and supplier monthly income affirmative action reports, monthly payment statements and contractors’ M/WBE utilization plans, and develops lists of New York State certified M/WSLBE contractors, among other responsibilities for this important service. Role also includes advising contractors about PLAs, and helping contractors and workers transition to union participation and union training, placement and apprenticeship programs.
